What is the Hoplr score and what is its purpose?

The number with a red background in front of the name of each neighbour in the list shows the Hoplr score.

This score shows the appreciation of the neighborhood for that person. You can earn Hoplr points by posting messages that are useful and relevant for your neighbours. When your message gets likes or comments from your neighbours, your score will increase.

Since a high score indicates that a neighbour is strongly committed and appreciated by the other neighbours, we will eventually grant a number of privileges and rewards to neighbours who score well within their neighbourhood.

Each neighbour starts with a score of 1 and the score can never be lower than 1.
Liking and posting messages or comments does not win extra points.
