Hoplr only sends useful emails about new neighborhood posts to keep your inbox organized. You will receive a weekly summary unless you have already been online after the last post. Daily emails are only sent if you are less active or for important external messages. You can adjust your email preferences yourself in the settings. To never miss anything, use the Hoplr app with push notifications.
Hoplr tries to keep your inbox as organized as possible. That’s why we only send you emails about new posts in your neighborhood when it’s really useful. Below you can read how our different emails work and why you sometimes do or do not receive them.
1. The weekly summary ('weekly digests')
The weekly summary remains the staple for every neighborhood user. In it, we bundle the most important activities of the past week. You will always receive this email, except when you have already been online after the last post was made in your neighborhood. In that case, we assume you are already informed.
2. The daily emails (New general posts)
Besides the weekly summary, we also send daily updates (in the morning or evening) with an overview of the very latest posts. You might stop receiving these emails at some point. This can have several reasons:
You are an active app user: Do you use the Hoplr app regularly? Then we assume you already view the posts there. To spare your inbox, we then don’t send you extra emails about those same posts.
You haven’t been online for a while: When you haven’t opened the app or website for an extended period (several months), we automatically reduce the frequency of daily emails.
Relevant external messages: In some cases, you will still receive the email even if you are less active. This happens when there is an important message from an external partner (such as your local government or an association) or from Hoplr itself. We want to make sure you don’t miss important information about your living environment.
