Through Hoplr, you can easily organize and share neighborhood activities via the website or app. You create an activity, choose a category, date, title, description, and optionally add photos, location, and price. Activities appear in the neighborhood calendar and can be made visible to surrounding neighborhoods, which promotes social cohesion. Followers can set notifications to stay informed.
Through the digital neighborhood network Hoplr, you can quickly reach many neighbors to invite them to a neighborhood activity or involve them in its organization. (Register on Hoplr)
A neighborhood calendar strengthens the community by informing residents about local events and activities. It promotes social cohesion and makes it easier to meet each other. Join in and contribute to a lively and connected neighborhood!
Organize activities and inform your neighbors:
Via the website:
- Click at the top of the page on 'Calendar'.
- Click on 'Start new activity'.
- Choose the category under which your activity falls.
- Do you already have a date? Then choose a start and end date in the future. If you have no plans yet, leave the date open to gauge interest and availability among your neighbors.
- Give your activity a title.
- Describe your activity according to the Hoplr house rules.
- Add an image or file (e.g., flyer, guide):

Images: standard size is 1100x600 px. For text, consider visible dimensions:
- Mobile app: 1080x500 px
- Mobile browsers: 750x600 px

Number & file size:
- Maximum of 5 photos in the app.
- More photos possible via website, total max 15 MB.

Supported formats:
- Images: JPG, JPEG, PNG
- Other files: PDF, DOC(X), XLS(X)

Images: standard size is 1100x600 px. For text, consider visible dimensions:
- Optionally add a location and price (leave out the currency symbol for price).
- Visibility: Check to also make your activity visible in neighborhood calendars within 25 km. If you want to reach only your own neighborhood, uncheck this.
- Click on 'Post'.
Via the app:
- Tap at the bottom right on 'More' and choose 'Calendar'.
- Press 'Start a neighborhood activity'.
- Choose the appropriate category for your activity.
- Do you have a date? Select start and end date (in the future). No date? Leave it open to gauge interest.
- Give your activity a title.
- Describe your activity according to the Hoplr house rules.
- Optionally add photos (max. 5, .png/.jpeg) and a location.
- Visibility: check to also show your activity in surrounding neighborhoods, otherwise only in your own neighborhood.
- Click on 'Post activity'.
Your activity will automatically appear in the calendar.
How and where is my activity visible?
If you mark an activity as "visible" outside your neighborhood, it will appear in the Calendar of surrounding neighborhoods and in the neighborhood feed of followers of your neighborhood.
Do you want followers to receive an email or push notification? They must set this up themselves. More info here.
Note: Non-followers do not see the activity in their neighborhood feed and do not receive notifications, but can find the activity in the Calendar via distance filter.
