How are neighbourhood borders defined?

  1. Official data. Plenty of data on administrative divisions can be found online. This is our main source of information.
  2. Our expertise. After having created some 1,000 active Hoplr neighbourhoods and managing our communities, we've gathered a lot of experience on what works and what doesn't. An ideal Hoplr neighbourhood consists of some 1,500 (anywhere between 1,000 and 4,000) households.
  3. Input local government. Whenever a local administration initiates the rollout of an area, they provide us with input on where the virtual neighbourhood borders should be drawn.
