You can give away items you no longer use for free via the Hoplr app or website, except animals, tobacco products, and prescribed medications. Post a listing, choose whether it is a giveaway or a bargain, add pictures, and share it with your neighborhood. Use the private chat for arrangements and mark your listing as resolved when the item has found a new owner.
Do you have something you no longer use but is still in good condition? Then you can give it away for free (except animals, tobacco products and prescribed medications).
Giving away items to your neighbors not only strengthens social contact, it is also very convenient and close by.

How to post a listing:
1. Start your message
Via the app: Tap the plus sign (+) at the bottom and choose 'Giveaway or bargain'.
Via the website: Click on 'Marketplace' in the top menu and then on 'Create a giveaway or bargain'.
2. Fill in the details
Description: Choose a category and a clear title. Always keep your message in line with the Hoplr house rules.
Type & price: Choose carefully between a Giveaway (free) or a Bargain (fixed price, negotiable or 'see info'). Many neighbors filter their overview by these types.
💡 Tip: In your settings, you can indicate whether you want to see only giveaways or also bargains in your overview.Visibility: Check 'Surrounding neighborhoods' to reach neighbors within a 25 km radius, or uncheck this to inform only your own neighborhood.
Media: Add up to 15 photos for the best impression.
3. Create message
Click 'Create message'. Your listing is now immediately visible to your neighbors.
Useful to know
Contact: Make concrete arrangements safely via the private chat.
Done? Mark your listing as 'Resolved' via the toggle switch on your message once the item is gone. Mark your listing as 'Resolved': Indicate that the item has found a new owner by moving the toggle switch on your message to the right (green). Note, you only get this option when you post a message via the 'Giveaway' button or via 'Marketplace'.
Filtering: In your settings, you can choose whether you want to see only giveaways or also bargains in your overview.
