Are you looking for help with a task you can’t do yourself, perhaps due to health reasons, or do you need someone with specific experience? Think of someone who can pull up the shutters, walk the dog, do grocery shopping, cook, or even a midwife or tutor. Hoplr neighbourhoods are here to support each other with these requests, including posting help requests on behalf of others.
How to submit a help request in your neighbourhood?
Via the app 📱
- Log in to the app.
- Tap the plus icon at the bottom to create a new post and select ‘Help request’.
- Specify what you need help with and provide a description.
- Tick the ‘Visibility’ box to make your request visible to your neighbourhood followers.
- Select up to two relevant categories (optional).
- ‘Share with external parties’: To make your request visible to external organisations, tick this box.
- Add a photo or attachment by tapping the paperclip or camera icon.
- Tap ‘Post message’.
Via the website 💻
- Log in to www.hoplr.com.
- Click the button at the top to create a new post and select ‘Help request’.
- Enter a title and description.
- Want to make your request visible to your neighbourhood followers? Tick the ‘Visibility’ box.
- Select up to two relevant categories for your help request (optional).
- Add a photo or attachment if needed and click ‘Create message’.
What happens next?
Your request is now posted in your neighbourhood. Neighbours can easily start a private chat to offer help.
✔️ Have you received help?
Mark your request as ‘Resolved’ using the toggle button under your post. This helps keep the neighbourhood feed organised.
✔️ Want to thank your neighbours?
Once you close your request, you can click the ‘Thank you’ button to show your appreciation. Your neighbours will receive a notification of your gratitude.
