Sharing messages on Hoplr strengthens neighbourhood connections, supports problem-solving, and promotes local activities. Messages must be posted via the Hoplr website or app, not by replying to emails. To post, log in, create a new message, select the type, write a clear title and message, optionally add images or documents, and choose visibility settings. Once posted, messages appear immediately in the neighbourhood feed.
Sharing messages with your neighbourhood has many benefits. It strengthens the connection between neighbours, helps solve problems, and allows you to share useful information. Additionally, you can support each other, exchange ideas, and take part in local activities. By sharing your messages, you help create a closer and more connected community!
Please note: It is not possible to post messages by replying to Hoplr emails. To share a message with your neighbourhood, simply use the website (www.hoplr.com) or the mobile app for iPhone or Android.
How to post a message in your neighbourhood
Go to www.hoplr.com or open the app.
Make sure you are logged in.
Click the main button to create a new message.
(!) In the app, tap the plus sign at the bottom inside the red circle.
Select the type of message that best fits your post.
Choose a clear and relevant title for your message.
Write your message in accordance with Hoplr's house rules.
You can choose whether your message is visible only to members of your neighbourhood or also to neighbouring communities. By default, general messages are shared with both your neighbourhood and surrounding areas, making them visible to people following your community. If you prefer not to share beyond your neighbourhood, you can uncheck this option.
Optionally, add an image and/or document.
Click ‘Post message’.
If your message has been successfully posted, it will immediately appear in your neighbourhood feed. To find it, go back to ‘Messages’ at the top (website) or ‘Home’ at the bottom left (app).
