What if there is damage or an accident during neighbor-to-neighbor services?

Hoplr is a communication platform that promotes interaction between neighbors, such as lending tools or offering help. Users are responsible for the materials and any damage in transactions outside the platform. Hoplr encourages exchanging contact details for transactions. The platform can take action against inappropriate activities within the site, but users are liable for agreements made outside the platform. More details can be found in the terms and conditions.

Hoplr primarily functions as a communication platform designed to encourage interaction between neighbors.

When you borrow, lend, buy, or sell items through Hoplr, you are responsible for the materials and any damage. Our platform only facilitates communication; we have no control over what happens outside the platform.

We therefore strongly recommend exchanging contact details with the other party before lending, borrowing, buying, or selling anything.

The core of our platform is promoting services and help between neighbors. Whether it’s borrowing tools, offering a ride, or helping with a task: these interactions contribute to a stronger neighborhood community. However, responsibility for the execution, quality, and any consequences of the provided help or service lies entirely with the neighbors involved.

We can intervene in anything that happens on the platform itself (such as inappropriate messages, comments, or unauthorized commercial activities). However, as also stated in our terms and conditions, you are responsible for transactions and agreements made outside the platform.

Read our terms and conditions here.
