Sharing messages with your neighbourhood has many benefits. It strengthens the connection between neighbours, helps with solving problems, and sharing useful information. Moreover, you can support each other, exchange ideas, and participate in local activities. By sharing your messages, you make the neighbourhood closer and more connected!
Note: It is not possible to post messages by replying to emails from Hoplr. To share a message with your neighbourhood, simply use the website (www.hoplr.com) or the mobile app for iPhone or Android.
How do you post a message in your neighbourhood?
- Go to www.hoplr.com or open the app.
- Make sure you are logged in.
- Click the big button to create a new message.
(!) In the app tap the plus sign in the red circle at the bottom. - Choose the type of message that best fits your neighbourhood message.
- Choose a good and clear title for your message.
- Write your message in accordance with the Hoplr house rules.
- You can choose whether your message is only visible to members of your own neighbourhood or also to members of surrounding neighbourhoods. By default, general messages are shared with both your own neighbourhood and the surrounding neighbourhoods. This way they are also visible to the followers of your neighbourhood. If you prefer not to, you can uncheck this option.
- Optionally add an image and/or document.
- Click on 'Post message'.
If your message was posted correctly, it will immediately appear in your neighbourhood feed. To do so, go back to 'Messages', at the top (website) or 'Home' at the bottom left (app).
